Carestaff has provided casual and contract registered, enrolled and assistant nurses to major healthcare organisations on the Gold Coast, Brisbane and in the Northern Rivers region since 1999. Since starting with just one client, Carestaff has steadily expanded our operations over the past 20 years.

Carestaff is a locally-owned and operated company founded by siblings Toni Kennedy and Troy Sweeting.

It was in 1999 that Toni and Troy first identified a gap in the market for personal carers. After approaching one of the major hospitals on the Gold Coast, they recruited a number of carers and co-ordinated their orientation. It soon became clear that a number of hospitals in the area were also experiencing an acute shortage of enrolled and registered nurses, and so Carestaff began recruiting staff with these qualifications too.

From this small initial client base, Carestaff began working with other healthcare facilities and expanding its list of nursing staff. Carestaff soon established a reputation for providing reliable staff matched to the specific requirements of their clients. As a result, Carestaff have been able to grow the business at a steady but ongoing rate ever since, a trend that continues to this day.

From humble beginnings, Carestaff has been able to develop into a benchmark service provider, becoming the contracted preferred provider for the majority of public and private hospitals on the Gold Coast, in addition to providing nurses to all major aged care facilities in the region.
