Junior Fire Safety Engineer - Sydney

The Company:

This opportunity is to join a national building services design consultancy working in Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Fire services and fire safety design with multiple offices across Australia (and more to come!). They deliver diverse projects including hospitals, residential towers, industrial buildings, refurb and interior projects, pubs and clubs, schools et.al. The company is well established in the NSW market enjoying repeat business from their established network of clients.

The Role:

The successful person will report to the National Fire Safety Leader - a veteran industry leader and one of the premier Fire Safety Engineers in Australia. This is about the best mentorship and training that you can get! One on one coaching and support in fire safety engineering. As your technical skills grow, you will become an expert in alternative solutions, working on highly sought after projects and clients in Sydney and NSW, while supporting the national team in Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne.

Responsibilities:

Develop alternative solutions and performance-based solutions
CFD modelling using Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS)
Preparation of Fire Engineering Reports and Briefs
Liaise with Fire Brigades Authorities
Prepare Fire Safety Audits
Manage a workload of multiple projects

The Person:

Bachelors degree in Engineering (i.e Mechanical, Electrical, Civil etc)
Completed, studying or willing to undertake a Masters or Diploma in Fire Safety Engineering is preferred
CFD modelling experience is advantageous
Clear and concise written communication skills
