What you’ll be doing

In the role of Project Officer within the Social Marketing and Campaigns team, you will be responsible for supporting BreastScreen NSW marketing campaigns with the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of a range of advertising campaigns, projects, contracts and services that contribute to influencing behavioural change to support the Screening and Prevention cancer plan objectives.

This will involve managing and contributing to discrete projects or project streams including the creation and implementation of advertising campaigns that raise awareness of breast cancer screening and its benefits with the aim of encouraging women aged 50 to 74 to participate in breast screening.

The Project Officer will be required to work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

You will have previous experience in a similar role, strong verbal and written communication and project co-ordination skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities to ensure all aspects of the project deliverables are met.

This is a dynamic role that affords you an opportunity to work with multiple programs and social marketing campaigns based on priority population health areas to support Cancer Screening & Prevention.

Essential requirements

• Demonstrated experience in marketing with an understanding of developing, implementing and evaluating advertising campaigns across multiple channels.

• Experience working with creative and media agencies.

• Demonstrated social media experience, including content planning, community management and media optimisation.

• Tertiary qualification in marketing or health promotion, and/or relevant equivalent professional experience and training.

1. Please outline an integrated campaign that you have worked on previously (max of 3 x sides A4)

• Describe the campaign including: what was the role/reason for the campaign, objectives, audience, creative idea, media strategy and channels used.

• What was your role in planning, implementing and evaluating the campaign?

• What were the outcomes/results; were the objectives met?

2. Please briefly explain your experience in working with creative and media agencies.

3. Please give an example of working with multiple stakeholders on a project/campaign and how you managed to collaborate?

This role is based at the Cancer Institute NSW located at Eveleigh, however, the Ministry of Health will be relocating the Cancer Institute to St Leonards in mid-2020. The Cancer Institute NSW is unable to offer salary packaging. Salaries will be negotiated commensurate to experience and qualifications of the role.
