Water and Sewer Manager

Remuneration package up to $130,000 (incl subsidised housing and leaseback vehicle)

9 day fortnight (35 hour week)

Cobar is a rural mining community located in far western New South Wales. Our shire is one of the largest in the state, spanning over 44,000 square kilometres.

In this role you will lead the development and management of quality systems relating to both operational and regulatory compliance within Water and Sewer. 

The Position
The Water & Sewer Manager at Cobar Shire Council will have the responsibility for providing professional engineering advice and support to Council and the executive management team along with contributing to team member development through mentoring and the provision of technical leadership.

Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and technically skilled Engineer with demonstrated experience in strategic planning, design, documentation and management of water and waste water, water storage, water treatment, pumping and piping as well as the implementation of major infrastructure projects. 

Our preferred candidate will have a ‘can-do, lead by example’ attitude, be values driven and people-centric, guiding their team through organisational change, while delivering great results. 

A total remuneration package of up to $135,000 including subsidised housing and leaseback vehicle will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
