NT Pubco Pty Ltd have been Hoteliers in the Territory for over 60 years. We are seeking a vibrant, well presented and reliable Waiter (Supervisor).

23 kilometers south of Darwin and right on the doorstep of the Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks, Howard Springs Tavern is one of the region’s favourite spots. The whole family can enjoy the great atmosphere of our 120 seat Restaurant for lunch from 12 til’ 2, or dinner from 6 til’ 8:30.

Functions and full dinner service is offered in our restaurant and full meals are also served throughout our bars and gaming areas. A usual dinner service in the Restaurant would serve approx. 200 covers per day and offers themed nights and daily chef specials. Our large kitchen team intricately prepare ‘real food’, from Twice Cooked Pork Belly to Steak & Guinness Pie to Fillet Mignon.

We are seeking a vibrant, well presented Waiter (Supervisor) to lead our food and beverage team in a full time capacity.

Your Main Duties will include:

  • Supervise, train and mentor food and beverage employees
  • Maintain stock control and complete stocktake procedures
  • Assist Duty Manager to prepare staff rosters
  • Prepare and mix a range of sophisticated alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
  • Take food and drink orders and preparing garnishes
  • Responsible for all gaming, TAB and Keno operations and reconciliation
  • Ensure bar areas, tables, glasses and equipment are kept clean
  • Practising proper workplace health and safety procedures
  • Other duties as requested by the employer

Customer Service:

  • Respond to customer requests in a professional and timely manner
  • Offer assistance to venue customers and make them feel welcome
  • Promote the employer’s services and facilities to customers when appropriate
  • Assist in maintaining customer service standards set by the employer
  • Ensure your work area complies with the highest standards of cleanliness
  • Ensure that customers are served in a professional and diligent manner

Required Skills and Training:

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
  • Gaming Licence
  • At least 2 years of relevant supervisory experience
