My client is a large global fund manager with products covering highly appealing (top quartile performing) global unlisted and listed Infrastructure and Real Estate. Outside of this there is a broad suite of products that can be used to suit expected success in the local region, covering active global equities including a top quartile global EM product; quant (systematic); fixed income and customised overlay solutions.
Based on an internal overseas promotion, there is a need for a Director-level Institutional capital raiser. This region is a high growth market for this manager, and the last two years have included 50% increase in local FUM each year. This team has a strong ability to create and deliver to their own distribution strategy based on the products that will be particularly successful in this market and this hire will be encouraged to be involved with that.
Reporting to the co-head of the business in Australia/New Zealand, you will be working as a small capital raising team of 3 (with a broader local team of approximately 11) to work to increase assets under management from the institutional clients in Australia and New Zealand.
We require a candidate who has a meaningful and demonstrably successful track record in institutional fund raising within the context of funds management in the local market. We require a proactive candidate who is able to speak at length about institutional client objectives (i.e. represent the brand as an Investment Specialist may) and how the product suite is able to assist.
