Job Summary

Are you looking for an opportunity to lead a passionate and high performing transport advisory team? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced transport planner / engineer who can manage projects and people. The role will provide the opportunity to share and develop your experience advising on the technical transport requirements of planning and infrastructure projects to meet government and client needs, particularly during the feasibility, optioneering and concept development stages. We are seeking a leader who is curious about emerging transport solutions, and how we can do better – integrating sustainability, safety, efficiency and embracing new and digital solutions, and seeking to work with teams with diverse skills to collaborate with clients and deliver successful projects.

What we need you to achieve?

Lead teams and actively contribute to the technical and management aspects of projects so that projects are delivered on time, to scope and to budget with sound and reliable outcomes.

Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate transport design / modelling / analysis / strategy deliverables – working with a Transport Advisory team with skills across design, business cases, operational and strategic demand modelling, data and spatial analysis, and concept development for transit / rail, active transport, road, freight as well as integrated infrastructure and urban development projects.

Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

Identify opportunities and prospects and actively assist in securing ongoing pipeline of work.

Successfully govern and deliver a portfolio of projects across Transport Advisory clients and supporting multidisciplinary projects – optimising team dynamic and skills, workload and resourcing and delivering our Client Promise

Drive technical excellence and exceptional project delivery including representation at Technical Practice Networks

Support winning work aligned with our ANZ Strategies and input to developing and implementing the WA Advisory Strategy.

Minimum Requirements

About you

  • Minimum 10 years relevant professional experience in a transport planning or engineering role;

  • A strong technical background with demonstrable experience in planning, design, or modelling of road, public transport, and cycle / pedestrian schemes;

  • Demonstrated experience in the management of transport projects and meeting delivery requirements.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, ensure that the needs of clients are understood and met

  • Previous consulting experience and enjoy working in a dynamic, global consultancy and the opportunities this can provide to grow your career and work on a broad range of projects across our business.

  • Previous experience with WA Transport Portfolio Government clients, or clients with similar responsibilities in other regions, is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in engineering, geography or mathematics or transport planning;

  • Significant experience of intersection assessment tools LINSIG/ SIDRA / TRANSYT

  • Significant knowledge of hybrid, micro and meso simulation tools ideally VISSIM and/or AIMSUN
