About Our Client

Our Client is Australia's leading supplier of flat glass building products. Its capabilities and processes include toughening, laminating, insulated glass units, digital glass printing and advanced edge-work and CNC processing.

Job Description

  • Conducts annual training and development needs assessment.
  • In conjunction with Production Coordinators the Training and development coordinator will develop a skills matrix for all factory staff, ensuring that plans are put in place to bridge gaps in training.
  • Works with managers to address learning issues, instruction problems, or new educational needs regarding specific employees or departments
  • On request form a production supervisor provide assessment of staff members ability to perform tasks listed in level assessment guide.
  • Assess staff members competency of following and understanding SOP's
  • Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
  • Maintains understanding of new educational and training techniques and Ensuring strategic alignment of the training department with business goals
  • Evaluating individual and organisational performance to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving performance
  • Develop and manage process for frequent performance and skill appraisals on all production staff in conjunction with shift coordinators
  • Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with Supervisors/ Managers
  • Develop in conjunction with stake holders Standard operating procedures for all factory processes.

The Successful Applicant

  • Should have manufacturing experience and good product knowledge
  • Should possess sound problem solving, organisational, communication and leadership skills, which are needed to develop the clients goals, objectives and employee motivation.
  • Have qualifications in training and assessing.
  • High level of familiarity of company policies and procedures
