About the role

Based at our Hume, ACT depot, the Tradesperson (Meter Compliance) role is responsible for ensuring the safe delivery of gas meters, meter kits, meter sets and meter enclosures in accordance with jurisdiction rules and Australian standards. You will also be required to undertake on call duties.

This role would suit an autonomous worker who has the ability to liaise with our internal and external stakeholders across the business. The position will involve working on domestic, industrial and commercial sites in Canberra.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following skills, education and experience:

  • Trade qualification in Plumbing/Gas Fitting and relevant field experience (minimum 5 years)
  • Knowledge and/or ability to match gas meters, meter kits, meter sets and enclosures to the correct applications
  • Attention to detail and strong trade skills
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting hydraulic plans, rules and technical standards
  • Proven ability to effectively coordinate and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, and work as part of a team
  • Ability to use latest technologies to complete work tasks
  • Ability to adapt to change and competing priorities
  • White card
  • Asbestos awareness
