Timberman/ Underground Serviceman

Your new role
Your new role Reporting to the Mining Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the construction, operation and maintenance of underground mine infrastructure to ensure that production targets are achieved safely and efficiently. This role will be based on an 8/6, (days and nights) roster.

Duties include:

• Installation of the mine paste fill reticulation system
• Inspection of the paste fill reticulation system integrity during paste fill placement
• Construction of ventilation bulkheads, ventilation controls and paste fill bulkheads
• Miscellaneous construction activities including forming and pouring concrete pads
• Installation of underground services including ventilation fans, ducting and services
• Installation of stope stop logs
• Safe use of an airleg/stoper
• Safe operation of Integrated Tool (IT) carriers
• Maintenance of a high standard of housekeeping on equipment and in the work area

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you must be able to pass a full functional medical for underground. Underground timberman or serviceman experience would be an advantage.

In return our client can offer ongoing work on an 8/6 roster. This is an ongoing role FIFO Townsville with a view to go permanent for the right candidate. $50 - $55 per hour working 12 hour shifts. Site accommodation and all meals provided.
