What we’re looking for?
In Queensland, the Kmart DC is located in Lytton and we currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced DC Team Manager to lead and manage the daily operations of a 3PL and Kmart team to safely deliver and maximise productivity, quality, the team performance and process improvement.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, as the DC Team Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the site is safe for everyone, every day by implementing and evaluating safe work practices, adhering to OH&S requirements, improving safety performance, actioning identified hazards and investigating incidents.
You will be accountable for performance across the despatch operations managing resources, daily planning, service levels and continuous improvement strategies.
As a team manager you will be responsible for driving a positive, open and honest culture with a focus on safety, whilst promoting collaborative ways of working cross functionally and developing and training your team to deliver high performance. You will also implement Lean principles and company policies and procedures with a customer centric approach.
You will be a high achiever with a passion that will motivate and inspire your team, along with the skills and ability to manage a high performing team. We reward hard work, and are committed to workplace safety and contribute to the community.
To be considered for this position you will ideally possess the following skills and experience;
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Supply Chain/Logistics or similar related
- Leadership experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transport Warehousing ideally within a retail environment
- Sound knowledge of supply chain operations and the associated systems
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage, coach and develop a large team
- Strong understanding of and commitment to safety and knowledge in OH&S requirements
- Those candidates with prior experience in LEAN process will be considered highly desirable
