Your Impact!

As a teacher at Gladstone, Toolooa Street, you will inspire a love of learning in children and foster their development through purposeful, intentional teaching practices that are delivered with creativity and energy. You will build meaningful relationships with families, so each child has a strong sense of belonging that supports them to thrive. Your love of teaching will be reflected in how you mentor and guide educational practices in your room, and in your work with the broader centre leadership team to develop, review, and implement high-quality early learning programs, to ensure you’re achieving optimal outcomes for children.  

About our Centre: Goodstart Gladstone, Toolooa Street is a 108 Place Service Service and we are proud to be an "exceeding" NQS Centre. We have a team of dedicated, qualified and passionate educators who provide a safe, friendly and stimulating learning environment for our children and their families. We are lucky to be located close to local shops, have a private staff room, and a cleaner who assists us with all the cleaning duties. Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces - with sandpits, vege patches, garden beds and lots of shade and space across our three outdoor play spaces. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability - while giving children the scope to explore and play.

You’ll help achieve this by :  

• Having a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or ACECQA Equivalent OR studying towards your qualification
• Having a Bachelor in Primary or Secondary Education and have a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education + Teacher Registration
• Having passion and enthusiasm to lead a classroom effectively engaging with educators, families and children to implement the educational program
• Having initiative to drive innovation within the Centre
• Having extensive knowledge of the EYLF and understanding of the NQF/NQS
