About the position:
We are currently seeking a flexible casual Support Worker to deliver services across the Adelaide area and surrounding Suburbs whose values align with ours, love exercise and sports and are passionate in providing the best possible service to people with a disability.
United Abilities’ Support Workers work alongside our clients to assist them with all aspects of daily living, community access, social inclusion and support.
An ability to use a computer and mobile phone to access work emails and web based applications e.g. submit case notes, check roster.
Strong understanding of professional boundaries in the context of disability services and an ability to maintain professional boundaries during service delivery.
Work in a manner which empowers and values people with a disability.
Understand the needs of vulnerable people and be able to use your own initiative.
An understanding of the benefits of exercise and sports for a happier life.
Hold a current Australian Drivers Licence and have access to a reliable car (covered by full comprehensive insurance).
Hold a current Provide First Aid Certificate.
Hold a National Police Clearance (obtained within the previous 3 years).
Hold a DCSI Working With Children (obtained within the previous 3 years).
Hold a DCSI Disability Related (obtained within the previous 3 years).
