Pistou in Newtown is now recruiting a Sous Chef to join our small team of hospitality professionals. We are a French styled deli/restaurant/wine bar in the south end of King street, we focus on quality, small producers, artisans and the community.
We are looking for someone open minded and respectful towards their colleagues and the industry. As we are a small team, it is important that we always look after each other and learn from each other. No matter if you are working on the floor or in the kitchen, we all help each other. As we are an open kitchen, you may have to speak to guests from time to time.

We expect our sous chef to lead by example. A typical working week is between 40 and 45 hours. As we are a small business, it is a hands on role. We are closed on Sunday evenings and Mondays.
We offer award wage salary with a review after 6 month, you will also get a generous portion of the tips, staff discount, cost price wine, staff drinks, ongoing training and tastings and team events.
