The friendly and supportive Gippsland team are looking for an experienced Sonographer to join them. You will be based predominantly in Traralgon and will have some on-call requirements.

Key accountabilities include: 

  • Consistently delivering high quality and efficient ultrasound imaging services
  • Working together with doctors, technicians and clinic staff to ensure smooth, seamless patient care
  • Promoting and maintaining the highest quality and safety standards

Key selection criteria:

  • Current registration with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
  • Previous experience practicing sonography in a busy clinic or hospital environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of health professionals and corporate staff
  • Experience using Philips equipment desirable
  • New graduates will be considered for this position

Victorian Government Direction which applies to the role

On 30 September 2021, the Acting Victorian Chief Health Officer issued a direction regarding requirements for workers in all healthcare settings to be vaccinated against COVID-19 (Government Direction). The Government Direction applies to all staff working in I-MED’s Victorian clinics (both suburban and hospital clinics) and requires staff to be vaccinated due to the risk to public health.

Under the Government Direction, all staff working at I-MED’s Victorian clinics (both suburban and hospital clinics) must be fully vaccinated by 15 December 2021.

From 15 October 2021, all I-MED staff in Victoria that work at or visit our clinics, must be able to, provide evidence to I-MED showing they have:

  • received at least their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by 15 October 2021, or
  • an appointment to receive at least their first dose by 29 October 2021, or
  • a valid medical exemption evidenced by an authorised medical practitioner (as described in the Government Direction).

From 30 October 2021, all I-MED staff in Victoria that work at or visit our clinics must be able to provide evidence to I-MED showing they have:

  • full COVID-19 vaccination of two doses, or
  • one COVID-19 vaccination dose and a booking for a second by 15 December 2021, or
  • a valid medical exemption evidenced by an authorised medical practitioner.

During our interview process, we will be asking you to please confirm your ability to meet the above-mentioned requirements, noting these are legal requirements under the Government Direction and accordingly are requirements of the role.
