This well-known State Government Organisation and one of Australia’s largest Public Transport is currently seeking a Senior Rolling Stock Engineer, to be responsible for technical assurance and progress monitoring of the delivery of maintenance and modification program of works design-life expired fleet of rolling stock. This is an initial 12-month contract position with the likelihood to extend.
Your new role
As a Senior Rolling Stock Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Provision Provision of technical reporting and subject matter expertise to both internal and external stakeholders on maintenance and repair requirements of design life expired regional rolling stock in complex and demanding regulatory and operational environment.
- Program compliance to the Department’s regulatory, governance and contract requirements to maximise value for money for State for the maintenance of the Classic Fleet.
- Using disciplined project management methodologies to manage projects within contractual time frames.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful person will have a qualification in Engineering, preferably mechanical and experience in the manufacture, maintenance and/or modification of mainline rolling stock in a complex multi-stakeholder environment. You will also have strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
