As a part of the Aquatec Maxcon team, you'll join a group of passionate professionals who work safely, and responsibly to deliver world class solutions to exciting new projects in the waste sector. This role offers the opportunity to work in a diverse engineering department, facing challenges of designing and commissioning WTE plants that make a real difference to the waste and water industry.

A challenging role exists for a new team member to join our collaborative and experienced team in process design and commissioning of water technologies and waste to energy solutions and in this role you will

  • Review technical requirements of client’s specifications
  • Participate in discussions with client
  • Lead process engineering activities, carrying out process design work
  • Develop the conceptual design, PFD’s, mass balances, and P&ID’s for whole of project
  • Review final plant/process design for WTE projects
  • Assist in research of new processes/technologies/equipment to improve processes
  • Assists the Project Manager with design modifications during construction and commissioning
  • Assess processes, analyse process measurements, interpret data and change process controls if required
  • Able to undertake plant optimisation
  • Perform risk assessments and actively participate in safety reviews and HAZOPs and safety in design
  • Produce plant documentation
  • Work as part of a highly skilled and diverse team and be capable of communicating and interacting with a wide range of people both internally and externally
  • Technical support and troubleshooting for gas engines
  • Specification of biogas upgrading systems
  • Assist in the development of client relationships that will positively impact business opportunities.

Applicants will ideally have

  • Tertiary qualifications in either chemical or process engineering
  • Master degree
  • 10 years WTE process design engineering experience
  • Fundamental understanding of Australian and European standards
  • Sound knowledge about digestate treatment technologies and local regulations
  • Ideally German language skills
  • Ability to travel and provide commissioning assistance when required at sites remote from the office
  • Previous experience working with waste treatment projects
