Churches of Christ's Brisbane North Home Care Services offer wonderful in-home assistance to hundreds of residents across the beautiful suburbs of Brisbane's North, from Deception Bay to leafy Moggill. About the role As a Senior Home Care Worker, no day will be like the other and you can look forward to a rewarding and varied role. Working alongside clients with differing support needs you will provide them with the assistance they require to live independently in their own homes. The types of support you will provide include helping with domestic duties, ensuring safe and hygienic living conditions in their own homes and undertaking personal care including showering, dressing and continence care. This exciting permanent full-time opportunity would suit someone ideally based on the Northside of Brisbane and includes morning relief duties as well as regularly scheduled clients in the afternoon. When not relieving team members, there will be plenty of client related professional development tasks including client scheduling, a natural progression for our Team Leader opportunities. This Monday to Friday role comes with flexible work from home arrangements for the right candidate and an allocated home garage fleet car will be included. About You: You like to make a difference in the lives of seniors as you are a caring, empathetic individual. It is important that you are a confident relationship builder, as you will be a trusted person in our clients' homes. You will draw on your strong experience in a direct care role, to help train and mentor a team of home care workers. To be suited to this position, you will have: * A minimum Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent; * Completion of the following units of competency: HLTHPS006 - Assist clients with medication, HLTAAP001 - Recognise healthy body systems and CHCCCS011 - Meet personal support needs, or willingness to complete; * Minimum two years' experience in a direct care role; * A current driver's licence. Please note, all employees working within our residential and community aged care are required to be immunised for Influenza.
