Company

This company is an agronomic consulting business that specialises in maximising the efficiency of farming inputs through sustainable farming systems. They recognise that soil health is integral to producing healthy, disease-free and nutritionally balanced crops, and are suppliers of leading liquid fertiliser and solid based products.

As part of its service, this company offers agronomic consultation programs tailored to their clients. In addition, they draw upon a comprehensive range of market leading products in order to deliver a complete sustainable package for cropping, grazing, dairy and horticultural clients.

Position

Build and maintain strong relationships through the provision of accurate agronomic advice to both direct and distributor clients, with the aim to maximise sales revenue, margin and volume of products sold within the designated regions:

  • Northern Victoria
  • Central Victoria
  • Lower New South Wales

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop professional relationships with distributors and a targeted portfolio of existing and new clients across a range of agricultural sectors
  • Provide agronomic consulting and technical information to existing clients together with product sales, in line with company sales and earning objectives
  • Target new clients through the provision of sales and agronomic input and assist in the co-ordination and running of field days and client meetings
  • Liaise with the distributor network and provide technical support to sales staff

Skills and Experience

  • Practical agronomic experience within the agricultural / horticultural industry
  • Commercial acumen with proven experience in sales management and sales strategy development and implementation in the agricultural sectors
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and dedication to customer service
  • Able to work as part of a team and remotely with minimal supervision
  • Motivated and proactive with the ability to lead, engage and influence
  • High degree of organisational skills

Qualifications

  • Current unencumbered driver’s licence
  • Tertiary qualifications in agricultural science or similar (highly regarded)

Remuneration

An attractive remuneration package, inclusive of a company vehicle, will be negotiated to reflect skills and experience.
