St Vincent’s Private Community Hospital, Griffith (SVPCHG), is a new private health facility in Griffith. Carrying on the tradition of 175 years of compassionate care, the purpose of SVPCHG is to improve choice and access to health services closer to home for the community of Griffith and its surrounding region. Aligned with the St Vincent’s Health Australia Mission, Values and Culture, SVPCHG is a world-class medical and surgical facility, underpinned by the founding Religious Sisters of Charity.

SVPCHG delivers low risk, low acuity acute inpatient services including surgical, medical, and procedural services. SVPCHG is co-located adjacent to the Griffith Base Hospital campus and comprises of 40 beds (Day Only and overnight), two operating rooms, a procedure room, sterilizing services and Food and Support Services. The facility also houses the Murrumbidgee Clinical Teaching and Learning Centre.

About the Role

The successful candidates for the Perioperative Registered Nurse positions will assist in setting up the exciting new Surgical Services space in the newly built hospital and provide holistic patient care according to the Mission and Values of the Mary Aikenhead Ministries. Part time and casual positions available, with opportunities to apply for full time roles in the future.

About the Candidate

 The candidate must have:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in Perioperative Nursing (Scrub Scout, Day Surgery, Anaesthetics, Recovery)
  • Bachelor of Nursing 
  • Authority and registration to practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent clinical care
  • Commitment to continued professional development
  • Experience in the acute surgical setting
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
