  • Full-time (36.75 hours per week) and 12 months Fixed Term contract
  • Based at the Burwood campus
  • HEW 7 $ 89,427 - $98,468 + 17% super

As a successful candidate with demonstrated experience in project management and exposure in the Research environment, you will enable and champion A2I2 (Applied Artificial Intelligence Institute) projects by identifying, developing and coordinating the critical requirements for all projects; including staffing requirements, materials (e.g. hardware), and project management tracking tools (e.g. JIRA).

Your expertise in coordinating and delivering the critical projects in a complex research environment with extensive negotiation, communication, vendor relationships and influencing skills will be highly regarded for this role.

Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Liaise with clients and the internal client relationship managers to generate product requirements, determine specifications, pricing, development timelines, and time-integrated plans for product introduction;
  • Lead the planning, prioritisation, resource allocation, design, and delivery for client projects, effectively interpreting and accommodating emergent needs, user insights and performance data.
  • Establish and execute upon the group’s stakeholder engagement principles and practices to ensure high cohesion and collaboration, transparency, and value-driven outcomes are present in the group’s projects
  • Identify and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate the everyday product and specification activities of the group.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of strategic presentations for external clients.
  • Deliver internal presentations and workshops to the group to align team members with an engagement approach.

“To be successful”, you’ll have:

  • A degree in Information Systems/Project Management/Software Engineering, or substantial experience in project management in a large commercial or education environment
  • Experience and expertise in business analysis, agile methodologies and user interface design for desktop and mobile applications
  • Demonstrated experience in developing usability reports for potential clients
  • Demonstrated experience leading product development and management of delivery teams across multiple concurrent projects
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare project status reports for presentation to boards and governance committees (Internal and External)
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively with others in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with management and staff at all levels
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated attention to detail as to limit ambiguity
  • Sound understanding of organisational and management processes and policies and the capacity to coordinate with colleagues and external agencies
