The role
Our facility at Malmsbury Youth Justice Centre is looking for Full-Time, Part-Time and Casual Registered Nurses to join the primary care team. Situated half-way between Melbourne and Bendigo, Malmsbury offers a rural feel, but with access to urban amenities within an hour’s drive. Working with this patient group is rewarding as the healthcare you provide can have a positive impact for a lifetime. You will deliver a Nurse led model of care for young people, in a safe and secure environment.

There are full time and part time permanent positions available, shifts are 7am - 3pm, 2pm – 10pm and 9.30pm – 7.30am, on a rotating roster Monday to Sunday. You will need to be flexible to work across all shifts. 

Essential experience:

  • Registered General Nurse Qualification.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • A minimum of one year full time post graduate nursing experience
  • Recent nursing experience in an acute and/or primary healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated capacity to meet the above accountabilities
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheet applications and other data bases as required.
  • Police check clearance
  • Working with children’s check clearance
