Portfolio Analyst - Risk Sydney As a Portfolio Analyst, this is an exciting opportunity for you to join our Risk Enterprise Services team. Sitting within the Risk Management Division, the Enterprise Support Projects & Change team is responsible for governance of the Risk Management Group-wide project portfolio and delivery of key risk projects and contributing the development and ongoing enhancement of our framework. As such, this presents a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to the portfolio of change across all areas of risk within the Macquarie Group and join a high performing and experienced project team. What impact will you have? As an Analyst within the team and reporting to the Portfolio Lead, you will use your excellent time management, organisation and people skills to support successful project delivery and manage ongoing reporting. This portfolio includes strategic business operating model and process improvements, regulatory change and technology transformation initiatives. Day to day you will be responsible for: * providing support to the Portfolio Lead and wider project team in delivery of the project objectives as required * liaising with project stakeholders to obtain progress updates and other project data to support key messaging and management decisions * assisting in overall Portfolio reporting; including managing/creating the monthly portfolio updates * preparing governance packs for relevant governance committees * managing & updating the overall portfolio budget; including reporting on portfolio actuals * analysing project data to provide key insights to leadership on the progress of the projects and the shape of the portfolio * creating and enhancing key project templates, tools and artefacts to govern the portfolio * updating and maintaining portfolio roadmap, milestones and dependencies * acting as a point of contact for stakeholder queries and build relationships with the workstream stakeholders * creating regular stakeholder communications * assisting in the running of workshops, briefings and engagement sessions, meeting minutes What skills will you use? As a business partner to the Risk Enterprise Services project managers and senior business stakeholders, you will possess 2-3 years experience as a Portfolio/PMO Analyst supporting complex programs of work. Ideally, you will have prior experience supporting Risk teams. Other skills and experience that will set you up for success include: * implementing portfolio management frameworks and/or portfolio management experience * Strong time management and organisational skills with high attention to detail * supporting the implementation of new ways of working SAFe lean portfolio management / Agile experience would be highly regarded * exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels * knowledge of project and portfolio management practices with a keen interest in developing a central projects function for the future. * Experience with PPT, Excel, PowerBI, VBA and Jira.
