Full job description

Hays Recruitment are currently seeking multiple staff to work on a casual on-going basis for various sites in and around Townsville.

Chef/ Cook

As Chef or Cook your main duties will include cooking a variety of meals, food preparation, cleaning and complying by relevant food health and safety legislation and menu planning.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in a fast-paced cooking role within the hospitality industry
  • Relevant Qualifications (Commercial Cookery Cert 3)
  • Functions experience desirable
  • A positive attitude and proactive work ethic
  • A dedicated team player who is passionate about food, quality and service
  • Fantastic communication skills
  • Strong passion and enthusiasm to constantly provide high standards of food
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions in a prompt and efficient manner.

Experienced Cleaners

As an experienced cleaner you will be reporting to the Site Supervisor and will be responsible for the scheduled cleaning of the Site. This includes office spaces, toilets, kitchens, communal spaces and other facilities.

What you'll need to succeed

  • To be able to efficiently clean, supply and replenish designated facility areas.
  • Perform various cleaning actions such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents and restroom cleaning.
  • Have experience in Domestic or Commercial Cleaning
  • Have knowledge and be proactive in OH&S policies and procedures
  • Have a high attention to detail and professionalism

Kitchen Hand

As Kitchen Hand you will be reporting to the Head Chef you will be responsible for duties such as the cleaning of the kitchens, assisting with food preparation and washing dishes. You will also be required to assist in some service of food, beverage making, and customer interaction so exceptional customer service skills are a must.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working within a busy kitchen and be readily available
  • Flu vaccination advantageous
  • Attention to detail and professionalism
  • A Food Handling Certificate or the willingness to obtain

These positions are being managed by Hays Recruitment in Townsville. You will receive a competitive hourly rate and be rostered to work across a 7-day period. You will also receive weekly pay and utilise online time sheets.
