Description Medical Receptionist (Full Time)- Dandenong About the Company Tristar Medical Group provides bulk billed or affordable medical services to people living in remote and rural areas with 30 clinics across Australia. Tristar also provides allied health services, mental health services, physiotherapy, pathology, diabetes education, chronic disease management and more. The clinic is open Monday to Friday's 9am-7pm and Saturday's 10am-2pm. About the role Build and manage the front of house for a fast paced and busy medical center. You will be given a great deal of autonomy and an opportunity to showcase your talent in administration and customer service. There are opportunities for career progression through many different aspects for the medical industry. Duties Answer telephone calls and action promptly and courteously. Greet and correctly identify patients upon arrival in alignment with RACGP standards and Tristar policy and procedure. Manage waiting room by informing patients of any delays. Notify doctors of any issues developing within the waiting room. Advise patients of credit and billing policies. Process payments Liaise with internal departments and external agencies and follow up on any outstanding requests Liaise with Doctors daily regarding paperwork and follow-up any issues. Prepare and action lists of patients to be recalled with significant investigation results (including reminders) according to clinic policy and procedure. Manage daily incoming and outgoing mail, email, and faxes. Complete and submit incident reports immediately as required and occurs. Skills and Experience Relevant previous experience in either reception or the medical field. Intermediate to strong computer skills, including Microsoft and Office. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work under pressure Strong attention to detail. High degree of professionalism. Exceptional customer service and a caring and positive attitude.
