About the Role:

Based in Port Macquarie we are seeking a Blood Banking Supervisor to oversee the running and operation of the blood banking laboratory. Working within a multi-disciplinary lab alongside the lab manager you will manage a team of dedicated junior and senior blood banking scientists to ensure a superior service to the hospital. They support storage, transfusion and cross matching, to name but a few and work on a variety of routine and urgent blood banking services.

This is an ideal role for a qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist who has recent and relevant experience within a fast paced blood banking lab and wants to continue building on their career and step into a supervisory role and enhance their leadership potential.

Skills & Experience:

Tertiary Science qualifications in a relevant discipline - medical science/biomedical science

Recent hands on knowledge blood banking essential.

Leadership skills preferred

High levels of accuracy and excellent standards of lab work are essential.

Excellent report writing and computer skills.

Have a keen and diligent work ethic with good people skills to work within this reputable company.

Excellent eye for detail and accuracy skills.

Full work rights in Australia are a prerequisite for this role.


This is a permanent role offering a strong hourly rate plus allowances and is ideal for you if you are looking to grow you career within one of the leaders in the industry.

Hours 10-6pm Mon-Fri with some on call work, as the lab is 24/7

Relocation costs can be offered.
