Empathetic and highly skilled Instructional Designer required to assist on a Workers Compensation transformation project, located in Sydney CBD ASAP

  • $500 per day + Super | 38hours per week
  • NSW State Government | Sydney CBD Location
  • ASAP start | Estimated 6-month temporary assignment

Our large NSW State Government client delivers insurance and care services to the community of NSW. Whether a person is severely injured in the workplace or on our roads, they support their long-term care needs to improve quality of life outcomes, including helping people return to work. They are currently seeking an empathetic and highly skilled Instructional Designer to join their team in Sydney CBD. This is an estimated 6-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.

Working within the Care and Community business unit, you will be required to create, curate and develop content for soft skill and Leadership, face to face and e-learning training programs along with other learning and development interventions for internal audiences.

The Role:

  • Assist in the diagnostics and development of learning needs and gap analysis for a transformation project
  • Design and develop experiential adult learning activities including face to face training materials, participant resources, toolkits, mentoring, facilitator guides and e-learning modules
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and contribution to ensure content is consistent and aligned with organisational needs
  • Provide expertise support to the learning team
  • Champion organisational values when making decisions
  • Prepare and present content in a clear and engaging format, that is appropriate for multiple audiences
  • Design and publish all online and paper-based resources and material, evaluating the effectiveness whilst ensuring compliance with guidelines

To ensure your success you will ideally have:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in adult education or an equivalent discipline
  • Demonstrated Learning & Development experience
  • Thorough understanding of Adult Learning theory and principles
  • Advanced training needs assessment skills including for complex and blended learning solutions
  • Experience in instructional design for face to face and e-learning projects
  • Previous experience working within a complex/sensitive environment or Public Sector desirable
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills
  • Adaptable, quick thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • Experience with Articulate, Captivate and/or Adapt Software
  • Ability to commence immediately and commit to the duration of the assignment
