The Company

A nationally recognised manufacturer who pride themselves on delivering quality products, value and service, are seeking a highly skilled and passionate HSE Business Partner. As key member of the HSE team, you will be integral in driving systems that support the business in people safety and culture compliance. You will provide management of data and reporting including analysing trends, providing solutions and changing behaviours in order to minimise incidents and assist with delivery of compliance.

Position

Responsibilities include but not limited to;

  • Contribute to development of HSE plans and strategies & drive implementation
  • Review coverage of compliance training, identify gaps and rectify areas of improvement
  • Ensure Environmental Compliance requirements are met including required testing, licensing, reporting and monitoring
  • Develop and facilitate OHSE training programs
  • Assist with writing SWI's & SOP's
  • Evaluation of auditing and incident investigation processes; take lead for more serious injuries
  • Perform internal HSE audits according to audit schedules and assess the appropriateness of remedial actions
  • Undertake workplace inspections to ensure compliance with and effectiveness of H & S procedures
  • Management of data & reporting to all levels within the organization - analyzing trends, providing solutions and changing behaviours, in order to minimise the number of incidents that occur and assist with delivery of compliance
  • Deliver training programs as required

The Candidate

  • Relevant Tertiary Degree or equivalent
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Best Practice in OHS, workers compensation and relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice
  • Strong commitment to planning for and coordination of future workplace health and safety standards
  • Demonstrated experience in design, delivery and evaluation of risk assessment, safety auditing, compliance and health assessment programs
  • Computer and reporting skills including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working in a manufacturing organisation highly desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
