A 4 year apprenticeship in Horticulture (Parks and Gardens) Certificate III is now available.
You will join a motivated team, to help maintain the gardens and grounds at Kemps Creek Cemetery, and occasionally at Liverpool.
Duties include mowing, hedging, fertilising, planting, weed control, rubbish collection, installing irrigation, watering lawns/gardens, laying turf, lawncare and creating new gardens.
You will be trained to assist occasionally with funerals and also learn to operate and gain competencies using earthmoving equipment including skid steers and excavators.
Uniform, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and relevant vaccinations/immunisations are provided by this host.
Drivers licence and own transport are required.
TAFE is for 2.5 years one day a week, this is a paid work day and no fees.
Hours are Monday – Friday 6.30am to 3pm or 6.00am to 2.30pm with a Rostered Day off each month.
