Our client is one of the largest not-for-profit community care providers in Victoria (salary packaging on offer). They also operate across residential aged care and retirement living in other states across Australia and have built a brand on their underlying values of respect & compassion. 
 
About the Role

Our client is looking for Registered Nurses in the South East who have had a minimum of 12 months experience operating in the profession and who would like to begin working within the community.

A commitment to 3-4 days across the working week is needed for the first 4-6 weeks for an induction period to take place, which includes blended learning of online & F2F at their Dandenong office location. Upon completion you would begin working autonomously across a rotating Mon-Sun roster with shift times 7:30-9:30pm.

  • Penalty Rates: 25% loading for shifts worked past 6pm, 50% loading for Saturday & 75% for Sunday

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work independently within a specified geographical location under the supervision of Grade 3/4 RN's.
  • Promote and deliver a holistic approach to care, focused on individualised needs of patients and in accordance with consumer directed care as set out within the organisations policies. 
  • Undertake assessment, prevention, early detection, referral and health promotion pertinent to clients. 
  • Conduct and review as necessary the care plans of clients, ensuring they best meet their individual needs at all times, in accordance with relevant legislation. 
  • Provide support and direction to lesser experienced staff including both EN's & PCW's. 
  • Contribute to an inclusive and supportive staff environment.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Current AHPRA Registration 
  • At least 12 months experience working as a Registered Nurse 
  • Current Drivers License and access to vehicle
  • Wound Care Experience/Medication Management 
  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise competing tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Wound Care Experience/Medication Management 
  • Current police check OR willingness to obtain 
  • Up to date Flu Vaccination & COVID-19 Vaccinations
