Full job description

Reporting to the Director, Clinical Trial Operations and Development with 2-8 direct reports and an operating budget of up to $25,000,000 you will be working with key internal and external stakeholders within and outside the university to achieve successful delivery of the clinical trials.

Key Activities and Accountabilities:
·Manage clinical trial operations
·Manage clinical trials start -up activities
·Manage clinical trial conduct activities
·Manage clinical trial delivery and closure activities
·Provide administrative and other support tasks as required

Minimum Requirements:

·Knowledge of clinical trial requirements during their lifecycle from start up to close out, including a detailed understanding of the regulatory and ethical approval process across Australia, as well as a thorough knowledge of ICH Guidelines and Good Clinical Practice.
·Minimum three years of relevant working experience in clinical trial management, as a project manager, senior clinical trial operations coordinator, or similar role.
·Excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes.
·Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated level of tact and discretion in dealing with day to day operational matters.
·Financial management experience and literacy, experience in managing budgets and controlling income and expenditure.
·Proven ability to identify problems, make recommendations and implement appropriate solutions.
·Demonstrated ability to effectively work as part of a team, and to support and develop team members in their activities and professional development.
·Ability and willingness to travel (<20% of time)
·Citizens of Australia or Permanent Residents only.
·Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
