Chinchilla is a middle size town of about 7,000 people they have a state high and primary school, churches, pools and gyms, weekly sport events, restaurants and parks, friendly community and grocery shops. Chinchilla is approximately 300 kilometres North West from Brisbane and two hours from Toowoomba.
Full Time position in need of a non VR or VR General Practitioner
Clinical duties and expectations:
Responding to medical/health problems presented by patients including history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment and referral as appropriate.
Attending to emergency's that may occur in the surgery.
Work as a team with fellow employers.
Treat patients with a kind and understanding manner be able to express compassion, resourcefulness, stamina, motivation and perseverance while working with in the surgery.
Care plans and assessments to be completed on eligible patients.
Make sure all paper work is completed correctly and filled accordingly.
In some circumstances you may need to assist with ECG's minor procedures and dressing wound.
Meeting targets set by the government for specific treatments, such as child immunisations.
Keeping up to date with medical developments, new drugs, treatments and medications, including complementary medicine.
8.30am -5pm Monday to Friday. Saturday and Sunday closed but if doctor wishes to open on a weekend that can be arranged. After Hours can be negotiated with the private medical centre in town on a roster system depending on the level of Dr we get and nursing home/ hospital on call work for patients our doctor admits to hospital.
The practice is an approved DWS RA3 area. The practice has three doctors rooms equipped with a computer and printer, computers have best practice software access, along with stationary, examination bed, scales and all required medical equipment to conduct health examinations. The clinic also has a treatment room, nurse's room, and an allied health room/podiatrist room
We can negotiate rate and agreements that will accommodate both parties and different level general practitioners.
