The Role:
This is a fixed term contract, part-time (initially) opportunity covering maternity leave, based at Simpson Barracks, Yallambie. This fixed term contract will run till December 31st, 2020.

Your part time hours will be on a Wednesday, Thursday & Friday till November, at which point the role will switch to full time hours.

There is the potential to extend for a further 6 months fixed term contract on full time hours.

The purpose of this role is to supervise day-to-day mess and Bar operations, including front of house personnel, to ensure efficient service delivery and exceptional customer experiences.

Duties & responsibilities:
* Develop rosters and coordinate staff, ensuring adequate support is provided for all meal services, bar services and functions.
* Regularly inspect all Mess areas, ensuring they are maintained, clean and presentable, and all required repairs and maintenance are reported.
* Forecast staffing requirements, including all costs involved.
* Ensure accurate service delivery & costing reports are delivered to senior management.

What you’ll need to be successful:
* Must have experience managing/leading a team within a Food & Beverage environment.
* Proven conflict resolution skills.
* Strong planning & organisational skills.
* Be calm under pressure & ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments.
