We are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant with a strong technical accounting background to join us.

Job Description

About the role:

  • Manage the month end process and prepare monthly management reports and commentary
  • Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliation
  • Review of management accounts and assist in preparation of board reports
  • Responsible for preparation of tax filling obligations, BAS returns, FBT returns, tax returns
  • Statutory reporting, including assisting with the preparation of the Year end statutory reporting and reviewing year ebd statutory reporting for the Group's subsidiaries
  • Ensure financial controls are in place and reviewed to comply with accounting policies and standards
  • Providing support in financial due diligence processes as required for capital raising, acquisitions and new ventures
  • Create a relationship with stakeholders, providing sound analysis and advice in order to optimise company performance
  • Oversight and mentoring of Client Accounting team

Desired Skills and Experience

Our ideal candidate:

  • CPA or CA qualified
  • Strong technical accounting background, audit experience highly desired
  • Dedication to continuous improvement, including research and adoption of new tools and systems to improve accuracy and automation
  • Strong communication and stakeholder manager skills
  • An understanding of secure coding practices
  • Proven ability to work in a collaborative team both onsite and remotely
  • Experienced in month end reporting
