Educator - Goodstart Hackham

Goodstart is Australia’s largest provider of early learning and care. Founded with a vision for all Australia’s children to have the best possible start in life, as a not-for-profit social enterprise, we exist purely to improve the lives of Australia’s children and their families. We are entirely Australian owned employing over 15,000 people, and caring for over 71,000 children.

As an EChO centre we offer enhanced services over and above the universal base of education and care. We invest in proportionately disadvantaged communities using our unique EChO model to enhance learning, development and wellbeing outcomes for very vulnerable children, along with supporting their families and building their communities.

Services include additional teachers, child and family practitioners, speech pathologists, occupational therapists and social inclusion coordinators. We also offer playgroups, visiting service providers, food rescue and re-distribution, referral and support in the local community and scholarships for eligible children.

About Our Centre:

  • Permanent, part-time opportunity, 12-25 hours per week, flexible days and shift times
  • Ability to work with all ages, float position within the centre

About You:

  • Hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Childrens Services or equivalent ACECQA recognised qualification
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard
  • Bring your past experience from a similar role to this service
  • Passion to work with a nursery age group is essential along with your nurturing demeanour 
  • Exceptional knowledge of safety and wellbeing
  • Willingness to learn and be a part of the team
  • Strong communication skills, reliable and punctual
