About us

SDN Children's Services is a not for profit organisation that has been delivering quality early childhood education and child care, children's therapies and family support services since 1905.

We are one of Australia's most respected children's services organisations, and have over 700 staff across 34 sites in Sydney, regional NSW and the ACT. We also have therapists who support children with autism or a developmental delay, and can help overcome the challenges that can make everyday life and participation tough for children.

About the Centre

SDN Batemans Bay Preschool provides quality early childhood education for 30 children per day, with a focus on ensuring children are prepared for school.

Our preschool was first established in the 1970s and our new centre was purpose-built in 2005. It is a modern, light-filled space which encourages successful learning, confidence and a sense of belonging.

Since its beginnings, SDN Batemans Bay Preschool has reflected a strong connection with local families, and supported SDN's vision and commitment to enhancing the wellbeing and development of all children.

About The Role

As a Certificate III qualified educator, you will work as part of a team that provides high-quality early childhood education and care to children and supports the implementation of an approved learning framework.

You will implement and maintain the elements of National Quality Standards (NQS) including National Regulations, Law and EYLF. You will also develop and maintain nurturing relationships and communicate positively and openly with children on an ongoing basis.

This is a full-time maximum term contract until Dec 2021.

About You

  • Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Current Working with Children's Check (NSW)
  • Knowledge of the National Quality Standards
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates (preferable)
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Understanding of Child Protection legislation and holds an approved and current Child Protection Training qualification
