Your new role

As the Drafter or Technician, you will be under the guidance of experienced engineering personnel, it will be your personal responsibility to engage in the company’s business processes to allow positive development of your skills, knowledge and experience within this consultancy. You will perform clearly communicated straightforward tasks by your supervisors in design and drafting activities.

• Experienced assisting in the preparation of schematic and production drawings and documentation
• You will have exposure in using a combination of standard and modified drafting methods/techniques in addition to those developed in previous assignments for the purposes of solving problems
• The ability to learn and Develop your skill on Computer Aided Drafting (CAD)
• You will Provide engineering design input into engineering projects undertaken by the company
• Prepare project documentation suitable for approval, construction and contract administration
• Undertake design tasks under the direction of the senior designers and engineers to ensure a high level of accuracy and efficiency according to the company standards of operation

What you'll need to succeed

• A preferred Minimum 2 years experience in the design and documentation of engineering projects
• Competent in the use of computer aided design and documentation programs (2D and 3D software packages)
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Previous experience as a draftsman and / or technical trade background experience
• Relevant tertiary studies in 2D and 3D software packages
