New Way Agencies is Seeking vibrant engaging Disability Support Workers to help people living with a disability reach their full potential and working towards set goals by the NDIS in TOWNSVILLE, QLD on a casual basis.
Empowering people with disabilities while working towards their NDIS goals. Ideally the successful candidate should have the following attributes:
-be willing to commit to a team. Current "C" class drivers licence Computer literacy and smart phone savvy
Be eligible to apply for a working with children check (blue card) and an exemption notice (yellow card).
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or a willingness to obtain one. Certificate III in Individual Support Disability or a willingness to obtain one.
Previous lived or paid experience in the provision of disability support for people with physical or intellectual disability is also highly desirable or any other Demonstrated ability to meet the physical requirements of providing support as a Disability Support Worker.

Your typical day:
Providing day to day supports to people with physical, intellectual and/or mental disability. This could be providing Community Access with your participant (doing with not doing for)and completing documentation for day to day supports.
Contribute to team approach and working collaboratively. Shifts can be minimum two hours per day with a maximum of 10 hours per day.
Ideally the worker will be someone with the flexibility to work for short and long shifts, nights and weekends, with short notice if required.
