Your new roleAs an Intermediate Accountant, you will work closely with senior accountants, managers and Partners while managing a varied portfolio of SME clients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns
• Tax compliance for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships
• BAS and GST preparation
• Assisting with tax planning and broader business advisory work
• Liaising directly with clients and responding to their accounting and taxation requirements
• Developing your technical skills and taking on greater responsibility as you progress

What you'll need to succeedYou will have previous experience within an Australian accounting firm and be looking to continue developing your career in Business Services and Tax. You will also bring:

• Strong technical accounting and taxation skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive and team-focused approach
• CA or CPA studies underway, or a desire to commence
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning
