Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Senior Solution Architect to lead architecture across GHD’s Project Delivery domain. This hands-on role will connect business capabilities, applications, data and integrations, ensuring solutions align with enterprise strategy and the target architecture roadmap.

In this role you will:

• Own and evolve the current- and target-state architecture and roadmap for the Project Delivery domain.

• Ensure solutions across the portfolio align with enterprise strategy, standards and the target architecture.

• Lead solution architecture for priority, complex and cross-cutting initiatives—from discovery through delivery and transition to operations.

• Shape Project Delivery capabilities, applications, data and integrations, including authoritative data sources, shared domain models and API-led patterns.

• Establish practical reference architectures, platform guardrails and non-functional requirements that enable consistent delivery.

• Provide architecture assurance, resolve cross-initiative conflicts and manage risks such as duplication, obsolescence, vendor lock-in and technical debt.

• Advise business and technology leaders on investment options, costs, benefits, risks, trade-offs and total cost of ownership.

• Coordinate across product, platform, data, security and operations teams to resolve dependencies and deliver coherent outcomes.

• Coach architects and technical leads, building capability through practical guidance, reusable artefacts and knowledge sharing.

To be successful you will have:

• 8-10 years of relevant architecture experience, including senior, domain or portfolio-level experience.

• Strong solution capability across applications, data, integration, security, infrastructure and operations.

• Recent hands-on experience with solution architecture and delivery.

• Experience leading complex solutions from discovery through implementation and transition to operations.

• Strong stakeholder engagement, consulting, influencing and communication skills.

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems or demonstrated equivalent experience.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Salesforce, SharePoint Online, enterprise integration, data platforms or AI-enabled capabilities is highly regarded.
