THE PRACTICE
Precision Radiology is a privately owned, consultant-led practice delivering diagnostic imaging and image-guided pain management from two community clinics, in Wembley and in Bunbury. We are deliberately small and deliberately independent. Patients get advanced imaging close to home, without the stress of a large hospital campus, and referrers get a radiologist they can actually phone.
You will work directly alongside the principal radiologist and owner, an interventional radiologist with 25 years of experience, more than 5,000 patients treated, and an adjunct clinical associate professorship at Curtin University. We host visiting Curtin students through the year, so there is teaching involvement available if you want it. There is no corporate reporting layer, no offshore roster, and no volume target set by someone who has never read a study.

THE WORK
A genuinely varied caseload rather than a narrow list:
Ultrasound, CT and X-ray, with MRI arriving shortly and scope to shape how it is set up
EOS Edge low-dose, weight-bearing, full-skeleton imaging, still uncommon in Australian practice and a real advantage in spine and lower limb alignment work
DEXA body composition and bone densitometry
Ultrasound and CT-guided FNA and core biopsy
Fully funded interventional work: spine and joint injections, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablation of the spine and genicular nerves, cryoablation of peripheral nerves, PRP, hyaluronic acid and bone marrow concentrate injections, endovenous laser ablation, ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy, microsclerotherapy and ambulatory phlebectomy
If you are so inclined, there is scope to run your own pain and vein clinics within the practice, with direct mentorship from the principal in image-guided pain and venous work, and referral streams already in place. If you would rather focus on diagnostic reporting, that works equally well.Reporting is via Radiscan, Comrad and Inteleviewer.

Two weeks of conference leave a year, with a CPD allowance
Flexible rostering: 3 to 5 days, weekdays, with teleradiology from home for part of the week if that suits your life

New Zealand colleagues: if you hold FRANZCR there is no additional examination pathway. You can start here.
Canadian colleagues: Royal College certified radiologists are very welcome, and we will fund and support the RANZCR comparability assessment.
If you hold provisional registration, or your pathway depends on particular location or workforce conditions, get in touch and we will work through what is possible together.
RANZCR registrars in their final years are welcome to make contact early to discuss fellowship and a defined pathway into the practice.
WHY WESTERN AUSTRALIA
Perth has the best weather of any Australian capital: more sunny days than anywhere else in the country, dry Mediterranean summers, and winters you can still surf and ride through. Wembley is five minutes from Lake Monger and fifteen from City Beach, where you can be in the water before your first list. Cottesloe, Scarborough and Trigg are all within twenty minutes.
Bunbury sits on the coast two hours south of Perth, on Geographe Bay, with calm swimming beaches, dolphins in the harbour and forty minutes to Margaret River. That puts world-class cabernet, chardonnay and some of Australia's best food within an easy Sunday drive, along with the surf breaks at Yallingup and the karri forests behind them.
Perth is also Australia's closest capital to Asia. Bali is three and a half hours, Singapore five, and Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City and Phuket are all direct. A long weekend genuinely means a long weekend somewhere else, on the same time zone as Singapore with no jet lag either way.
