Your new company
An established and highly regarded Canberra-based contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to play a key role in securing and delivering a diverse pipeline of demolition, remediation, civil and enabling works projects.
Your new role
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will take ownership of the estimating function, leading the preparation of competitive tenders and supporting commercial outcomes across a varied portfolio of projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing tender documentation, specifications, site information and reports
- Preparing accurate quantity take-offs, BOQs and pricing schedules
- Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Managing tender clarifications, RFIs and site inspections
- Preparing tender submissions and supporting documentation
- Assisting with contract negotiations and commercial reviews
- Supporting variation pricing, cost planning and risk assessments
- Contributing to project forecasting, cost control and commercial reporting throughout project delivery
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience as an Estimator within construction, civil, demolition or related sectors
- Strong understanding of tendering, procurement and commercial management
- Ability to interpret contracts, specifications and technical documentation
- High-level communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities
- Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications
- Relevant construction, quantity surveying or project management qualifications will be highly regarded
