DisabilitySupport Worker - Stanthorpe
- Provide person-centred daily living, personal care and manual handling support in supported independent living homes.
- Promote clients’ independence, choice, inclusion and community participation while building trusted relationships.
- Work casual shifts in Stanthorpe, including weekends and sleepovers, and meet required screening, first aid and driving requirements.
About the role
As a Disability Support Worker, working within our Supported Independent Living homes, you’ll provide person-centred support that empowers people with disability to build independence, confidence and connection. You’ll be part of a supportive team that genuinely cares about the people we support.
We are currently Casual roles available based in our Stanthorpe area for Residential SIL Homes with Sleepover and weekends shifts required.

- Supporting people with daily living activities, personal care and routines
- Assisting clients with manual handling using hoists and slings
- Encouraging independence, choice and inclusion
- Supporting community access, social activities and wellbeing
- Building trusted relationships with clients, families and colleagues
- Maintaining safe, respectful and positive environments

What we’re looking for
- A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous but not required
- A caring, patient and respectful approach
- Experience with Individual Support Plans and Behaviours Support Plans
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Reliability and a positive, can-do attitude
- Availability to work a range of shifts (including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and sleepovers – penalty rates apply)
- The capacity to meet the physical requirements as manual handling tasks are involved and Personal Care.
You will be required to hold or willing to obtain
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
- First Aid & CPR Certification
- National Criminal History Check (Police Check)
- Australian open Driver’s License with comprehensive insurance on your vehicle
