Legal Advisor

Founding Strategic Advisory Group Member | The Still Nest

Australia-wide | Remote | Voluntary / Pro Bono
Initial 24-month term | Four online meetings annually, plus preparation and advisory input

HiTalent Recruitment is partnering with The Still Nest to appoint a Legal Advisor to its Founding Strategic Advisory Group.

The Still Nest supports multicultural families through infertility, pregnancy loss, infant loss, birth trauma, perinatal mental health concerns and the transition to parenthood through culturally safe, inclusive care.

Apply your legal expertise to a meaningful social purpose and help establish the foundations for sustainable growth.

The opportunity

Working alongside the Founder and fellow advisors, you will:

  • Guide the establishment of The Still Nest Foundation, including governance, charitable registration and its relationship with the existing business.

  • Advise on contracts, funding agreements, research collaborations and partnerships.

  • Help protect intellectual property, creative content and digital initiatives.

  • Guide privacy, consent, data handling and safeguarding considerations.

  • Identify legal risks and when specialist professional advice is required.

About you

You’re a senior legal professional with experience advising founder-led organisations through growth. You understand social enterprise and not-for-profit models and bring expertise across governance, commercial agreements, compliance and risk.

You offer practical judgement, constructive challenge and clear advice that leads to action. Experience in health, community or multicultural organisations is valued.

Appointment and applications

This is a voluntary strategic advisory appointment, rather than a statutory director or operational management role. It includes preparation, relevant working group contributions and ongoing engagement between quarterly meetings. Additional professional services will be agreed separately.

Send your CV and a brief statement outlining your relevant experience, work across social enterprise and not-for-profit models, interest in The Still Nest’s mission and availability.
