Financial Advisor

Founding Strategic Advisory Group Member | The Still Nest

Australia-wide | Remote | Voluntary / Pro Bono
Initial 24-month term | Four online meetings annually, plus preparation and advisory input

HiTalent Recruitment is partnering with The Still Nest to appoint a Financial Advisor to its Founding Strategic Advisory Group.

The Still Nest supports multicultural families through infertility, pregnancy loss, infant loss, birth trauma, perinatal mental health concerns and the transition to parenthood through culturally safe, inclusive care.

This is an opportunity to apply your financial expertise to a meaningful social purpose and help build the foundations for sustainable growth.

The opportunity

Working alongside the Founder and fellow advisers, you will:

  • Shape a practical growth strategy towards financial independence by 2031.

  • Guide budgeting, cash-flow forecasting, financial governance and reporting.

  • Develop sustainable revenue across social enterprise and not-for-profit activities.

  • Assess funding opportunities, partnerships, program viability and financial risks.

  • Support the transition from founder-led delivery to a funded team.

About you

You’re a senior finance professional with experience helping founder-led organisations grow. You understand social enterprise and not-for-profit models, with expertise in financial strategy, commercial income and funding through grants, philanthropy or sponsorship.

You bring practical judgement, constructive challenge and the ability to turn ambition into achievable plans. Experience in health, community or multicultural organisations is valued.

Appointment and applications

This is a voluntary strategic advisory appointment, rather than a statutory director or operational management role. It includes preparation, relevant working group contributions and ongoing engagement between quarterly meetings.

Send your CV and a brief statement outlining your relevant experience, interest in The Still Nest’s mission and availability.
