Supervisor

Join StarTrack at Botany and take the lead across a large, fast-paced transport operation. Reporting to the Duty Manager, you’ll oversee the morning shift, leading a sizeable frontline workforce and Team Leaders to deliver safe, efficient and reliable outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead the day-to-day operation, providing clear direction across frontline teams
• Build team capability through strong coaching, leadership and performance management
• Plan people and resources around changing operational demands
• Drive safety, service, productivity and operational performance
• Use data and operational insights to solve problems and improve performance
• Lead continuous improvement and change across the operation
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across a large, unionised enterprise environment

What we’re looking for

• Leadership experience within transport, freight, logistics, distribution, warehousing or a comparable large-scale operational environment
• Experience leading sizeable frontline operations and teams
• A strong people leadership style that develops capability, builds accountability and gets the best from others
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, ideally within a large or unionised environment
• Sound workforce planning, operational problem-solving and decision-making skills
• A strong safety and performance mindset
• Understanding of continuous improvement and process optimisation
