ALGT Australian Landscape & Tree Services Pty Ltd, based in Cromer NSW 2099, is seeking a skilled and experienced Landscape Gardener for a permanent full-time position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, establishing and maintaining landscaped gardens and outdoor spaces, including planting areas, lawns and landscape features. The role involves interpreting landscaping plans, preparing sites, installing landscape elements and maintaining high standards of workmanship, plant care and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting landscape plans, drawings and project specifications.
- Preparing landscaping sites through soil conditioning, ground levelling and surface preparation.
- Selecting, planting and establishing trees, shrubs, flowers and other vegetation.
- Constructing garden beds, pathways, retaining edges and decorative landscape features.
- Installing, laying and maintaining turf, lawns and irrigation systems.
- Pruning and maintaining trees, shrubs and other plants to promote healthy growth.
- Operating and maintaining landscaping tools, machinery and equipment.
- Assessing plant health and implementing appropriate watering, fertilising and pest management practices.
- Performing mulching, weed control and general landscape maintenance.
- Ensuring landscaping work complies with project requirements, quality standards and workplace health and safety procedures.
About You
- Relevant qualification in Landscape Gardening, Horticulture or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in landscape gardening.
- Demonstrated experience in landscape construction, planting, turf installation and garden maintenance.
- Ability to interpret landscaping plans and technical specifications.
- Sound knowledge of plant care, soil preparation and irrigation systems.
- Competence in operating landscaping tools and equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to perform landscaping tasks safely and efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.

Salary: AUD $70,000 – $90,000 per annum
