Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure across GCP and Azure.
Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and deploy Kubernetes platforms.
Collaborate with teams to deliver reliable cloud solutions and contribute to cloud governance.

A major bank is currently seeking a GCP Cloud Devops Engineer with Azure to join their team. This is a 12 month contract likely to extend. The role can be based out of Sydney or Melbourne and the team work 2 days a week in the office.
Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure.
Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, including reusable modules and automated provisioning.
Deploy, configure, and support Kubernetes platforms, including GKE and AKS.
Implement cloud platform automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure deployment workflows.
Apply cloud security best practices, including IAM, networking, secrets management, and policy enforcement.
Monitor platform performance, availability, reliability, and operational health.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, Kubernetes, and deployment issues.
Collaborate with platform engineering, DevOps, security, and application teams to deliver reliable cloud solutions.
Contribute to cloud governance, operational standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Skills / Experience:

Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its core infrastructure services.
Strong Microsoft Azure, including cloud infrastructure, networking, identity, and platform services.
Cloud landing zones, platform engineering frameworks, and enterprise cloud governance.
Advanced Terraform
Kubernetes experience
Experience with CI/CD tools and Git-based workflows.
Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, IAM, observability, and high availability.
Experience working in large-scale, enterprise or regulated environments.
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and automated security controls.
Relevant GCP or Azure cloud certifications.
