Concrete Tester / Laboratory Technician

Your new role
Based in Tamworth, we are looking for a responsible and experienced individual to join our team as a Laboratory Technician. Working as a part of the Hunter / New England Team this role reports to the Laboratory Manager (Country) and involves the day to day sampling and testing of Concrete and Quarries products across the Hunter / New England Area.

The main responsibilities include:

• Sampling and Testing of Concrete
• Sampling and Testing of Aggregates
• Generating reports on test results and accurate record keeping
• Calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Follow Inspection and Test Plans to carry out production and compliance testing
• Maintenance of the laboratory in accordance with requirements

What you'll need to succeed

• A commitment to safety and quality
• Previous Concrete or Quarry laboratory testing (desirable but not essential).
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in science or another relevant discipline e.g. Civil, Chemical or Materials - (desirable but not essential).
• Well-developed skills and understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting of data (especially with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel etc).
• Good time management and organisational skills
• An ability to cope with competing priorities and deadlines
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Strong customer focus
