Creating open and collaborative communication channels with internal and external stakeholders will result in ensuring that project objectives are understood, supported and implemented effectively.

About the Business
At TasNetworks, we own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution networks in Tasmania, together with a supporting telecommunications network. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 285,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers in Tasmania. We also provide a connection to the Basslink undersea interconnector, and our network supports energy supply to customers in the broader National Electricity Market.
The National Electricity Market is transforming as new energy generation infrastructure replaces ageing infrastructure. Marinus Link and supporting transmission developments can support this transition by providing access to a low-cost, clean and reliable energy supply for customers.
Marinus Link is a proposed 1500 megawatt capacity undersea and underground electricity interconnection to more strongly link the Tasmanian and Victorian transmission networks, enabled by transmission developments in North West Tasmania. Marinus Link will also strengthen telecommunications service provision across Bass Strait. Marinus Link and supporting transmission developments can play a key role in Australia€™s future electricity grid, as the largest proposed infrastructure project in Tasmania€™s history.
With expertise at the highest level in all forms of communication, community engagement and customer service, you will have proven reputation management and engagement experience that can be applied to a large linear infrastructure project. Demonstrating consistent and strong leadership behaviours whilst supporting peers and leaders in a constructive and collaborative way will enable you to effectively navigate through ambiguity, change and challenge. A demonstrated understanding of the regulatory framework in which a government owned utility operates and the link between business decisions and their impact on the regulatory outcomes will be highly regarded. An understanding of the Australian energy sector, together with tertiary qualifications in Social Science/Communications/Public Relations will aid in your ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
